The Patsari stove has an optimized design of the combustion chamber and tunnels, custom-designed parts for durability, including a metal chimney support and metal comals (pans to place the pots). The cookstove is made with the aid of a metallic mold that ensures that critical dimensions are maintained. The exterior structure of Patsari stove is made with brick, and the internal body is made of a mixture of mud, sand and cement. All the materials are available locally; the custom-made stove parts are also manufactured by local small industries. The Patsari stoves have a primary comal of 52 cm diameter very useful for cooking tortillas (this comal can be metal o ceramic), and have two secondary comals of 27 cm diameter.
